Diane has been permanently disabled since 1997.

In 1996, Diane had to resign from her 9 to 5 job and fight for Social Security Disability. Diane's feet had become badly deformed from the CMT disease. She had to use a wheelchair more often than not to be able to get around. Walking caused excruciating pain, her ankles leaned outward so bad she was sorta walking on the sides of her feet.

Diane had searched for a surgeon to help her and see if there was something that could be done to "fix" her feet. She found an amazing orthopedic surgeon in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He knew a lot about her Charcot Marie Tooth disease and told her he could reconstruct her feet and get her walking again without the excruciating pain.

Dinae was amazed and was very comfortable with the doctor, she said let's do it!

Before Diane's first foot surgery she decided she wanted to buy a computer. She was determined to learn about the internet and start an online business for extra income. She knew she could not lay around doing nothing. The surgeon told her she would be laid-up for approximately 3 years total while having the surgeries one foot at a time. And he had to do at least two surgeries on each foot.
